Pre-School Graduation
Hello All
Late in May (end of school year). Joshua's Preschool held their graduation or as Joshy calls it graluation. He was very excited about it and we had no idea how big it was going to be. Even though Josh wasn't actually graduating he had a starring role in the whole day.
His best friend is moving onto big school though and I don't think he realises yet.
Josh had to hold up a picture of where he is from. Enjoy the photos.

School Excursion - Nihco Beach
Hello All
Prior to the end of the school year, the whole school (each grade) goes on excursion to different places around the island. Jonah and Zara's grades went to Nicho beach for the day. Nicho Beach is the only accessible sand (man made) beach on the island. The rest of the islands beaches are all coral.
They had a great day with amazing amounts of fish and turtles. The kids went kayaking with the turtles.

End of Year School Fair - May 2009
Hello All
It has been quite a while since I updated the blog and alot has happened in that time. Now its time for me to catch up.
In Mid May as part of end of year celebrations, The SDA school held their annual school fair. Louise took the kids to the fair and had a great time. They did tenpin bowling Pohnpei style (coconut bowling) where you roll a coconut and knock over Bamboo stumps, Pillow fights, Sling shot, dunk the teacher, pass the football, kick the soccer ball, a dart game and a big raffle. The prizes for the raffle were unusual by western standards with Pigs (alive) as some of the prizes.
